Threats of Violence, Intolerable  Bullying the New Language of the Progressive Democrats

Senator Collins Latest Victim of Left-Wing’s Bullying Tactics

Fort Fairfield Journal, September 26, 2018

The extreme left-wing Progressive branch of the Democrat party has for years called for tolerance of their ideology and an end to bullying as they attempted to sell their program of murdering unborn babies, advancing the queer and homosexual LGBTIA agenda and the mixture of the sexes in school and public restrooms and locker rooms.  They preach an unceasing message which demands tolerance of their ideas and cast the label of “bully” to anyone who doesn’t walk in lockstep with their beliefs.

Today, however, those same Progressives have shown their true colors by choosing not to “practice what they preach.”  When it comes to dealing with anyone who doesn’t agree with their position, Progressives become violently enraged and exhibit more intolerance and bullying toward their opponents than ever was heaped upon them.

The latest example of the hypocrisy of the Progressives is their dealings with U.S. Senator, Susan Collins.

Senator Collins is perceived to be the swing vote in the approval of Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.  Mr. Kavanaugh, who was nominated by President Trump, is perceived by most in the Conservative community as a moderate, luke-warm, milk-toast conservative.  However, Progressives view him as a direct threat to their pet project which was granted authenticity in the 1971 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision:  murdering unborn babies.

Progressives have reached the boiling point as they rise to guard their treasured “right” to kill babies and have laser-focused their vitriolic bullying tactics on Senator Collins and her office staff.

Annie Clark, a spokeswoman for Ms. Collins, provided the New York Times with copies of a letter and multiple voice mail messages addressed to the senator using vulgar language and outright threats. One caller told a 25-year-old female staff member at one of Ms. Collins’s Maine offices that he hoped she would be raped and impregnated.”   Another caller left a message saying, in part: “‘If you care at all about women's choice, vote 'no' on Kavanaugh. Don't be a dumb bitch. F*** you also.’ In a second voice mail, the caller calls Collins ‘a feckless, feckless, feckless woman standing there letting Trump and his appointees steal the right to choose what women do with their bodies. And you stood by, 'Oh, I don't know. I'm so naive.' F*** you. F*** you.’”

In a letter sent to her Portland, Maine office, a writer on August 9 says that ‘EVERY waitress who serves you is going to spit in your food, and that's if you're lucky, you f***ing c***! Think of that every meal.’”

Senator Collins has been receiving hundreds, if not thousands, of these types of bullying communiqués but has vowed to not be swayed by those radical left-wing tactics developed and perfected by the former Soviet Union’s Communist party of the late twentieth century; later to be deployed by intolerant Democrats.

Afraid their bullying tactics might not be working, progressives have stepped up their attack to bribery and extortion.  The ‘Be. A. Hero’ campaign has purportedly raised more than $1 million in a crowd sourcing campaign in an attempt to pressure Collins to vote against Kavanaugh.

Organizers of the campaign, Mainers for Accountable Leadership and the Maine People's Alliance, say that donors to the fund will get their money back if Collins votes against Kavanaugh, but if she votes for him, it will be donated to a potential opponent in her 2020 re-election race.

Cleta Mitchell, a Republican campaign finance attorney at Foley & Lardner, says the effort is ‘legally problematic.’ While not directly affiliated with Collins, Mitchell says she intends to send a letter to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Maine, asking for an investigation into the fund.  “‘If they walked into her office and said we’ll give you a million dollars to vote against Kavanaugh, well, that’s a bribe,’ Mitchell said. ‘It certainly seems to me that it is a thing of value for an official action and it’s a quid-pro-quo.  It is tied to a specific vote.”

“‘I consider this quid pro quo fundraising to be the equivalent of an attempt to bribe me to vote against Judge Kavanaugh,” Senator Collins told Newsmax.  ‘If I vote against him, the money is refunded to the donors. If I vote for him, the money is given to my opponent for the 2020 race.”  She emphasized, “this effort will not influence my vote at all. I think it demonstrates the new lows to which the judge’s opponents have stooped.”
