PAULINE E. DORSEY

Fort Fairfield – Pauline E. Dorsey, 90, wife of the late Winston R. Dorsey, passed away Friday afternoon, August 11, 2017 at a Presque Isle nursing facility, following a brief illness. She was born June 23, 1927 in Perth, New Brunswick, the daughter of William and Lillian (Lloyd) Wallace. She attended Perth, New Brunswick schools and furthered her education at the Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, Presque Isle, graduating top of her class in their Certified Nurses Aid Program. Pauline had been employed at the Community General Hospital, Fort Fairfield for over twenty-five years, a job which she truly loved and was often requested by the hospital patients. She was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield; a member of the Fort Fairfield Red Hat Society; and a proud member of the Daughters of Isabella, Santa Maria Circle No. 427, Fort Fairfield for over 50 years. In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her husband Winston in 1975; one daughter, Patricia Dorsey in 1968; an infant son, Donald Dorsey; one sister, Margie Gallager. She is survived by three daughters, Twila Delaney and her husband Joseph of Shrewsbury, PA; Lois Dickson of Presque Isle, Beth Doyen and her husband Keith of Mapleton; brother-in-law, Robert Gallager of Connecticut; four grandchildren, Joseph Delaney and his wife Kathy of Jacobus, PA, Ryan Delaney and his wife Tiffany of Apex, NC, Matt Doyen of Mapleton, Paige Doyen of Kennebunk; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Wednesday August 16, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Fort Fairfield with Fr. Alex Maria Doss celebrant. Interment followed at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held after the interment at the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1753, 260 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
