PETER R. FARNHAM
FORT FAIRFIELD– Peter R. Farnham, 58, passed away unexpectedly Monday March 26, 2018 at his Fort Fairfield home. He was born August 9, 1959 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Norman and Joyce (Ketch) Farnham. Peter was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1977 and attended the Northern Maine Community College, Presque Isle. He had been employed by several sheet metal contractors, the Canadian Pacific Railway, and operated his own business until poor health forced him to stop working. As a teenager, he was well known in the dirt bike circuit, having raced throughout Maine and New England. He loved to fish and always found peace in the outdoors. He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his sister, Linda Patterson of Presque Isle; one brother, Stephen Farnham and his wife Barbara of Mapleton; nieces, Lisa Farnham and her husband Jeffrey Bearden of Georgia, Deborah Weeks and her husband David of Hudson; nephews, Matthew Farnham and his wife Sara, Chris Patterson and his wife Crystal, all of Mapleton, Steven Patterson and his wife Kim of Caswell, Eric Patterson of Ohio; and Pete’s “adopted grandfather” and close friend, Floyd Belmain of Fort Fairfield; several great nieces and great nephews. A private memorial service will be held in the spring. Interment will take place in Aroostook Junction, New Brunswick.
