ARCHIE HOLTON
Fort Fairfield – Archie Holton, 96, passed away Wednesday evening February 14, 2018 at a Houlton nursing facility, following an extended illness. He was born October 31, 1921 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Charles and Florence (Theriault) Holton. He attended Fort Fairfield schools and worked as a heavy equipment operator in Connecticut and for the Fort Fairfield Highway Department. In addition to his parents, Archie was predeceased his first wife JoAnn and his second wife Avis; one son Reginald Holton. He is survived by two sons, Brent C. Holton Sr. of Fort Fairfield, Richard Holton of Coastal Maine; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Fred Sutherland, Laverne and Gerald Bubar, all of Fort Fairfield; two stepdaughters, Sandra Pelletier of Fort Fairfield, Carolyn Daveport of Waynesboro, PA; eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Archie’s wishes, there will be no services. Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Online condolences may be expressed at
