CYNTHIA J. (CHASSE) LACROIX

Fort Fairfield – Cynthia J. (Chasse) Lacroix, 63, passed away Wednesday morning, April 5, 2017 at a Presque Isle healthcare facility, following an extended illness. She was born September 30, 1953 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Harold L. and Shirley E. (Deschesne) Chasse. She attended Fort Fairfield schools and owned and operated Pan Handlers Second Hand Store in Fort Fairfield and later worked in the home health care business. Cindy was truly “one of a kind”. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard sales and adored her pets, her dogs Freddie, Igit, Sadie and her cat, Mr. Lilly. Her greatest joy however came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Harold L. Chasse; two brothers, David Chasse and Robert H. Chasse. She is survived by three sons, Jayson Lacroix and his wife Sasha of Fort Fairfield, Jacob Lacroix and his wife Chelsea of Fort Worth, TX, Jonathan Lacroix and his companion Samantha of Brandon, FL; two daughters, Michelle Perley and her husband Cyril of Tobique First Nations, New Brunswick, Kristy Vigil and her fiancé Shawn Willette of Fort Fairfield; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Dana and Donna Chasse of Mars Hill, James and Brenda Chasse of Presque Isle, Joseph and Beverly Chasse, Timothy and Jennifer Chasse, all of Fort Fairfield; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends called Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where services were conducted at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Brent Churchill officiating. Interment will take place later in the spring at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held at the Fort Fairfield Lions Club, Forest Avenue, Fort Fairfield, immediately following the service.
