KRISTA CHERYL (TOMPKINS) MCCALLIE

Ellabell, GA & Fort Fairfield – Krista Cheryl (Tompkins) McCallie, 43, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday October 3, 2015 at Ellabell, GA. She was born July 8, 1972 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Samuel L. and Anna H. (Wright) Tompkins. She attended Fort Fairfield Schools and worked for Gulf Stream Aviation and the Savannah, GA Hilton Head Airport for a number of years. While residing in Fort Fairfield, Krista attended the United Pentecostal Church. Krista was a kind, loving, caring and giving person who would help anyone in need. She is survived by her mother and stepfather Anna and Allan McNally of Cornwallis Park, Nova Scotia; her father and stepmother, Samuel and Darlene Tompkins of Tazewell, TN; one son, Jacob Hafford of Worcester, MA; one daughter, Katlin Ferreira of Tampa Bay, FL; one brother, Samuel A. Tompkins and his wife Lisa of Easton; four stepbrothers, Roland Wortman and his wife Tammy of Ashland, Scott McNally and his wife Lynnaea of Rowena, New Brunswick, John McNally and his companion Jeri of Presque Isle, Timothy Allan McNally of Calgary, Alberta; one stepsister, Lisa Wortman of Bangor. She also leaves behind her “Nanny” Muriel Wright of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members, many friends in the Fort Fairfield area and as well as in Georgia. In keeping with the family’s wishes, calling hours will be private. A graveside service will take place at the Pine Tree Cemetery, Easton at later date and time to be announced by the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
