PHILIP E. MCMANN SR.

Fort Fairfield – Philip E. McMann Sr., 67, husband of Virginia J. (Pelkey) McMann, went home to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family Monday evening May 28, 2018 at his Fort Fairfield Home, following an extended illness. He was born June 25, 1950 in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, the son of Emery and Hilda (DeMerchant) McMann. He attended Perth-Andover schools and was married to Virginia J. Pelkey on February 4, 1972. He had been employed in the farming and carpentry industries for most of his life, most recently for Larry Bragg of Washburn for the past 14 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. McMann was predeceased by one brother, Jerry McMann. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia of Fort Fairfield; two sons, Philip E. McMann Jr. and his wife Shilo of Limestone, Joseph S. McMann of Fort Fairfield; three daughters, Wanda Berube and her husband Donald of Fort Fairfield, Rose Kuehl and her fiancé B.J. Chapman of Gray, Janet Schmidt and her husband Aaron of Mars Hill; seven brothers, Charles McMann of Fort Fairfield, Larry McMann of Brewer, Emery Dean McMann of Woodstock, NB, Robert McMann and his wife Chris of Perth-Andover, NB, Fred McMann of Florida, Loomis McMann and his wife Rhona of Lake Edward, NB, David McMann of Warren; six sisters, Anna Michaud and her husband Theodore of Kilburn, NB, Thelma DesJardins of Fort Fairfield, Violet Wheaton and her husband Mark, Avis Drost and her husband Ken, Linda McBerry and her husband Eddie, all of Georgia, Connie Lopez and her husband Al of Texas; eight grandchildren, Todd Berube, Megan Berube, Kirsten Mahoney, all of Fort Fairfield; Ian Mahoney of Iowa, Draven Chapman of Gray, Bradley McMann of Fort Fairfield, Katelyn Little of Mars Hill, Miranda Malcolm of Mars Hill; one great grandchild, Xavier Berube of Fort Fairfield; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A memorial service was conducted Friday, June 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Wesleyan Church, Wesleyan Street, Fort Fairfield with Kevin Jackins officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments took place after the service at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post Number 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield.
