JAMES BRECK MILTON

FORT FAIRFIELD—James Breck Milton, 58, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2017.  Jim was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine to Louis and Thelma (Adams) Milton on 10/29/58.  He was educated in Fort Fairfield’s schools, graduating with the class of 1977.  He then graduated from NMVTI, Presque Isle, Maine with an AS degree in Accounting.  He then went to Husson College to continue his studies in Computer Science and Accounting.  Jim was an excellent student, involved with student government.  He was President of the Student Council at NMVTI.  He also played in the high school stage band and attended many competitions.  Jim had a beautiful singing voice as well and had sung in the local church and was asked to sing at his brother’s wedding.

After college, Jim settled in Waterville, Maine where he worked for Scott Paper Co and he had two boys, Stephen Robert in 1981 and Kyle Jeffrey in 1983.  Jim continued his career in computers when he moved into consulting.  Moving the family to New Hampshire and then Delaware he worked at many large companies.  Most recently, Jim suffering from a debilitating illness returned home to Fort Fairfield.  He would sit at his computers, working on projects for family and friends or tinkering in his garage.  He loved creating websites and tracking memberships of the Fort Fairfield ATV club.  He also kept beautiful gardens and lawns around his home.  He loved to decorate for Christmas by putting up a bunch of outdoor inflatables and spending time in the gardens and at the light parade with his grandson during his visits with “Blampa.”

Jim moved to Florida in 2015 to be closer to his sons and an easier life away from the cold winters of Maine.  He made many friends and was happy to run the spatula at the grill for a barbecue, with his ever present bottle of Heineken.

Surviving are his parents, both sons of New Port Richey, Florida: Stephen, wife Sarah and granddaughter Kelci; Kyle and also grandson Kasper of Dover, Delaware; his brothers Louis Jr and wife Karen Holden of Madison, Maine; Gary and wife Karen of Washburn, Maine; he will also be remembered by his Uncle Lester and Aunts Joyce, Velma & Ramona also his cousins and nephews.  Interment will be in the family plot in the spring.  The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
