ROY H. TOMLINSON
Fort Fairfield – Roy H. Tomlinson, 92, husband of Jacqueline “Jackie” (Webb) Tomlinson, passed away Saturday evening, May 5, 2018 at a Caribou nursing facility, following an extended illness. He was born January 10, 1926 in Easton, the son of Spurgeon and Alice Mae (Johnston) Tomlinson. Roy was raised and attended school in Beaconsfield, New Brunswick and served in the United States Army during World War II, stationed in the Philippines with the 544th Brigade. Early on he worked in the carpentry and farming industries and later in the maintenance department at the A. & P. Processing Plant, later Interstate Foods, Fort Fairfield. In addition to his parents, Roy was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Grant and Doris Tomlinson; one brother, Loren Tomlinson. He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Jackie of Fort Fairfield; two daughters, Karla Tomlinson of West Roxbury, MA, and Brenda Tomlinson of Woonsocket, NJ; two sisters Angie Flowers of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, Violet and her husband Dr. Manuel Elias of Hesperia, CA; many generations of nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at Union Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, at a date and time to be announced by the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
