PHILIP C. TRACY
Fort Fairfield – Philip C. Tracy, 74, husband of Delores M. (Webb) Tracy, passed away Sunday morning, March 5, 2017 at a Caribou rehab facility, following a brief illness. He was born September 19, 1942 in Caribou, the son of Kenneth G. and Ada (Langley) Tracy. He attended Caribou schools and was married to Delores M. Webb on March 24, 1962. He had been employed as a delivery truck driver for Solomon Distributors for a number of years and later became a long haul truck driver for Potato Service, Murray Lowe Trucking and retired as a truck driver for McCain Foods in 1988. Phil greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting with his grandchildren, woodworking and salvaging autos and auto parts. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, Phil was predeceased by one grandson, Jason Hersey; one brother, Galen Tracy; two sisters, Ruth Dunakin and Ruth Collins. He is survived by his wife of nearly fifty-five years, Delores of Fort Fairfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth D. and Carrie Tracy of Fort Fairfield, three daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda L. and Stephen Mills, Tammy L. Hersey, Sherri L. and Ricky Johnston, all of Fort Fairfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Marline Tracy of Paulding, Ohio, Albert and Cheryl Tracy of Roanoke, VA, eight grandchildren; Christine Fox of Fort Fairfield, Tyler Mills of Easton, Stephen and Justin Hersey, both of Fort Fairfield, Suellen Johnston, Amanda Graves, both of Fort Fairfield, Amanda Woodard of Lincoln, Danielle Tracy of Fort Fairfield; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 1: 00 p.m. at the Celebration Center, 170 Houlton Road, Fort Fairfield, where services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held after the service in the church fellowship area.
