ROBERT P. WRIGHT
Fort Fairfield – Robert Paul Wright, 80, beloved father, brother, and uncle passed away on May 17, 2015 in Hermon surrounded by family. He was born August 2, 1934 in Glisspie Settlement, New Brunswick, the son of Justus Earl and Ruby (Murchison) Wright. Robert was a graduate of Adult Education at Presque Isle High School and always encouraged his children and grandchildren to further their learning. He supported his family through working at many jobs including lumbering, trucking, millwork, farming, retiring as a parts man at Peterson’s Motor Mart in Fort Fairfield. Robert had a great love for his God and family. He spent many hours at the Bethel Baptist Church and Baptist Park. He also loved spending time watching his grandchildren grow. Mr. Wright was predeceased by his wife June Carolyn on November 1, 2012, three sisters Leona, Elva, and Avis; four brothers Justus Earl, Thomas, Gilbert, and Emery; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Wright. He is survived by his five children, Brian (Susan) Wright of Bainbridge, Georgia, Roderick (Norah) Wright of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Cheryl Cropley (Galen) of Hermon, Brent Wright of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, and Marcia Mathieu (Thomas) of Frisco, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Carolyn Goodine of Perth-Andover and Adeline Pruitt of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield on Friday May 29, 2015 with the Rev. Garnett Chute officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place after the service at Riverside Cemetery in Fort Fairfield. A time of celebration of life and a cook-out will be held at Robert’s home, in the garage, where the family always came together directly after the interment.
