Maine Democrats Vote to Continue Policy of Misery, Poverty and Victimhood By Re-Electing Mills and Other Democrats

Inflation, Open Borders, Increased Crime, Homelessness and Drug Addiction Approved by Dem Voters

By:  David Deschesne

Fort Fairfield Journal, November 16, 2022

The Democratic party, which is inarguably the master of messaging in the art of political propaganda, was able to successfully dupe Maine voters into accepting record high inflation rates at the grocery store; record high gasoline, diesel and heating oil prices; rampant homelessness; an invasion of illegal immigrants; an epidemic of illegal drug abuse/overdoses and crushing COVID mandates designed to bankrupt businesses and disrupt the lives of everyone in Maine as completely okay and acceptable.  Nothing to see here folks, move along.

On Twitter, Pascal-Emmanuel Gobry summed it up by writing, “I guess the big takeaway is libs want this.  Crime, inflation, runaway homelessness & drug addiction, replacement migration.  We all sort of assumed they would recoil at the brink.  But no, they were like, ‘Yes, this is what I voted for.’”

With Maine’s Democrat Governor, Janet “Big Sister” Mills winning re-election, she now surely believes her reckless, authoritarian COVID response has been vindicated by the voters as she looks forward to forcing her green energy pipe dreams on Maine in the upcoming years; dreams that could very likely see sales of new gasoline powered automobiles outlawed (as in California, by 2035), along with gas furnaces, cooking stoves and water heaters (as in California by 2030) and perhaps even heating oil furnaces, wood and pellet stoves.

In addition to governor, Mainers also allegedly re-elected their two Democratic Congressmen, Jared Golden and Chellie Pingree.  In this area’s State Senate District, Democrat incumbent Troy Jackson retained his seat.  The only Democrat in the Fort Fairfield area to lose was State Representative, David McCrea, who is being replaced by Republican, Mark Babin—a newcomer to State politics.  But, there are so few Republicans in the Maine legislature now, they will be relegated to merely spectators as the one-party system, with its power base in southern Maine, exercises its socialist dictatorship over the rest of the State.

Feeling empowered by their destructive policies being allegedly approved by the voters (some of which were likely illegal immigrants; while others may have been manufactured out of whole cloth by the computerized vote “counting” machines), Maine Democrats now plan to run into hyper drive by moving to further shut down the transportation and home heating infrastructure to force-feed Mainers a green energy solution - via excessively high electricity rates - that is nowhere near ready, or will ever possess the energy density to replace fossil fuels.

Maine historically votes Democratic.  Many of the younger voters have been indoctrinated in a public school system and college/university system dominated and controlled by Democrat ideologues.  The young voters are neither sophisticated enough, nor do they have an adequate understanding of history, to see through the propaganda they are indoctrinated with for twelve or more years so most end up being programmed into being functionally illiterate Democrat voters.  On the other end of the age spectrum,  many of the older Democrat voters believe the Democratic party is the same party it was when they were younger.  It is not.  The Democratic party has quickly morphed into a dangerous, destructive group catering to a minority of extreme leftists whose ideologies come right out of Communist Karl Marx’s playbook.

But, rather than arguing for Marxism from its traditional economic vantage point, this new breed of leftist focuses on enforcing Marxism from a more cultural position. This means they believe some people in society are better off due to their race, rather than their financial well-being, and use that status to victimize others of different races.  It will perhaps take a few more years for the Democrat voters in Maine to catch on to this scam but for now, the Marxists remain in power.

Maine is composed of primarily an elderly population who vote Democrat due to force of habit, rather than reviewing actual job qualifications; a “D” beside the name is all they need to see.  Paradoxically, many of these elderly folks are on fixed incomes and have no ability to financially keep up with the Democrats’ vision of green energy.  For example, most elderly cannot purchase a new $50,000 electric vehicle which only has a useable lifetime of 8 or 9 years before needing to replace the $14,000 battery pack.  They also do not have the ability to completely retrofit their home to electric-based heating (which is not as efficient or as reliable as fossil fuels), much less pay for the electricity which is getting increasingly expensive.  Also, with gas and oil furnaces ultimately being outlawed, or heavily restricted, along with wood and pellet stoves, an electric-based heating system will fail when the electric grid goes down—which often happens in the winter in Maine—leaving people with no backup source of heat since electricity, unlike heating oil or propane, cannot be stored at the homeowner’s location in the quantities necessary for home heating.  This form of destitution is what the Democratic party strives for as it keeps people addled and dependent on government for their daily needs.

Voters were once again duped by platitudes and propaganda—a specialty of the Democratic party—which suggested by voting for Democrats was somehow going to “save Democracy” when it is Democrats like Janet Mills, and her forcing of healthcare workers to participate in a dangerous experimental gene therapy COVID-19 drug trial, who are the actual threats to life, liberty and democracy; while paradoxically being a violation of the Democratic party’s “my body, my choice” stance which they use to justify women killing their unborn babies.

With her reckless COVID response apparently approved by the voters, Big Sister Mills is apt to enforce face mask mandates and business closures & lockdowns every time someone in Maine gets a sniffle, even if those unlawful mandates did nothing to stop the COVID-19 coronavirus the first time around.

Free money never hurt incumbent politicians from getting re-elected and with millions of dollars of free COVID money from the feds, Janet Mills had lots to give away for political gain.  Steve Robinson, Editor-in-Chief of the Maine Wire explains in a recent op-ed*, “Mills sprinkled taxpayer money on every favored constituency like she was Whitey Bulger buying groceries for housewives in South Boston. She paid off electricity bills for small businesses and non-profits. She doled out 850 bucks to every Mainer. She funneled cash by the truckload into the sprawling web of non-profits that mostly exists to keep term-limited Democrats employed. She gave some cash to the Lobsterman’s Association, to childcare providers, to college kids, to the poor and the not poor. Everyone got money from Janet Mills this year. Of course, it wasn’t her money, not even money she’d accumulated by careful stewardship of the state. It was all debt-financed imaginary money handed out by a delusional federal government. The bill for all of that will come due – and soon. But none of that matters when you’re trying to win an election.”

Republican Shortcomings

Republicans, however, need to share some of the blame for their loss as well.  For example, the campaign signage for Republican candidates, at least in the Northern Maine area, was minimal and lackluster at best.  Perhaps the Democratic party was simply better funded.  But, a party having more funds available doesn’t necessarily mean their ideas are sustainable or better for society.  It simply means they have more money.

But, the Republicans were ineffective at crystallizing a coherent message they could sell to the public.  Robinson points out, “The threat of Republican gains two years from now is laughable. Why should Democrats fear a Republican operation that failed to defend Lewiston-Auburn or send Troy Jackson to early retirement? Mills could reverse course on her campaign promises, hike the income tax to 10 percent, encircle Swan’s Island with offshore windmills, legalize fourth trimester abortion, and put a Planned Parenthood in every county, and I’m not sure Republicans in Augusta would be able to win majorities two years from now.

Furthermore, the Republicans didn’t appear to play to win.  Jerry Collins, the recent former chair of the  Kennebunkport GOP Committee broke it down in a post-election day memo;  “The burning question of the day: 'What happened to the Red Wave'?” wrote Collins.  “This is a question for which answers are a 'must-have' for all GOP voters in Maine. It is essential that we do some hard work right now and look in-depth at what happened. Most of us are distressed, tired of electioneering, looking for who to blame, but we need to lick our wounds and find serious, real answers to the question ‘What happened?’”

Collins said 2022's election reminds him in some ways of the election of 2018.  “We were told to expect a 'RED WAVE.' 'RED WAVE' had been repeated over and over and over. But the 2018 cheerleading didn't work, and we lost. Badly.  But, folks, did we surrender  (were suckered?) to the same cheerleading mantra again?”

“Why did we lose in 2018 and 2022? are not just topics for idle conversation and speculation. The answers, carefully analyzed and thoughtfully assessed, are absolutely necessary for the survival of the Maine GOP-top to bottom. Here are a few topic headings to be considered (and answered):

1.) CANDIDATES: What do our candidates for state and federal elective offices think about their experience- both those who won and those who lost? What worked best for them? Where did they encounter problems? How adequate were financial and publicity supports? Where did they get the most help? Where were the obstacles? Why do they think they lost? We need honest, thoughtful answers - never mind political discretion!

2.) GOP COMMITTEE STRUCTURE-TOP TO BOTTOM:  The issue here is how is the GOP structure headquarters, county, district functioning?  Does communication work both ways?  Is there teamwork and collaboration, or are there "communication problems"?  Are strategies developed with input from all components?  What happens when a particular strategy doesn't work?

3.) GOP "PRODUCT":  What is it? Is it appealing to a broad range of voters?  What are the "pros and cons" of each goal?  Does our "product” need re-thinking?

4.) GOP MARKETING:  How are we doing this?  Word of mouth?  Media?  Posters signs etc?  Is our marketing effective?  Does it have limited appeal?  Does it need re-thinking?

5.) MONEY:   $$$ money from grassroots?  $$$ money from Maine ‘country club’?  Money from outside of Maine$$$ how much?  ‘Money talks’- who's money is doing the talking?  Who receives the money?  State GOP? County? District? Candidates- which ones and how much?

6.) GOP AND MEDIA: An obvious problem for the Maine GOP.  What are we doing as a party to overcome it?  Are we using: Maine Wire, Fort Fairfield Journal, Liberty Tree of Maine, email, Facebook, other sources?  Do we have a determined strategy, or is our strategy happenstance?

7.) NEW GOALS, NEW PRODUCT ADJUSTMENT, NEW LEADERS?  Obvious questions, whose answers need to be based on serious analysis- not impulse!  Now is the time to do it  while memories and data are fresh.”

Vote “counting” machines

But, then there is the voting system itself that is suspect.  Most communities in Maine use electronic vote counting machines which may contain secret algorithms that may be manipulated to “count” votes in favor of a certain political party, bond issue or referendum, regardless of what the voters actually voted for.  While the machines are checked a week or so in advance of the election to verify they are counting a sample batch of ballots accurately, very few municipalities have the Information Technology staff or wherewithal to confirm the software inside the machines hasn't been compromised with date-sensitive lines of programming code, covertly downloaded by a concealed cell-phone connection inside the machine hardware the morning of the election, designed to create a predetermined count on election day in favor of a particular party or referendum question.  Very few communities' election clerks actually go through the trouble to physically count the paper ballots filled out by the voters to confirm they match what their computerized machines spit out at the end of election day.  With the voting machines in use today, even Joe Biden - a president with the lowest approval rating in U.S. history - would likely have been re-elected even if he only technically received less than 30% of the real, physical vote (similar to what happened in 2020 if you don’t count the fake ballots dumped into the unmanned drop boxes on deserted street corners in key states at the last minute).

Misery and Austerity:

The cornerstones of Democratic rule

While the leftist media is giddy with jubilation over the ability of their chosen political party to continue to coercively micromanage every aspect of an individual person’s life, it is important for Mainers of all political persuasions to prepare for the misery and austerity that Democrats are planning to force on them in the upcoming years as both the voters and the compromised voting system continue to favor radical authoritarian candidates.  This should come in the form of self-sustaining households with an off-grid form of energy, a move toward locally produced food supplies since the transportation sector is being targeted for extinction by the Democrats, and the ability to survive for long periods of time in an environment of social unrest as the Democratic party in Maine moves toward forcing poverty, austerity and misery on a society that didn't realize that's what they were voting for (or that the voting machines were perhaps programmed to “vote” for).
