Umpqua College Staff Prevented Armed Veteran From Saving Victims
YET ANOTHER GUN-FREE ZONE CLAIMS MORE LIVES

An Air Force veteran who had a licensed concealed carry gun was prevented by staff from intervening in the shooting at the Umpqua Community College, in Oregon, during which ten people were killed.
“There were a few people in the vet center and then when we heard the shooting happened, we got up and we were gonna go out and see what we could do,” John Parker told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “Immediately the school staff stopped us and told us to get inside of the building….essentially the staff wouldn’t let us go to assist,” he added.
In asserting his right to concealed carry, Parker was knowingly violating a rule which declared the college to be a gun free zone. The single security officer working on the campus was unarmed, according to the Associated Press.
The Socialist do-gooders at the college fail to realize that while guns in the hands of criminals can cause bad things to happen, guns in the hands of good people can stop those criminals.
When Presidential impersonator, Barry Soetero, a/k/a Barack Hussein-Obama spoke in reaction to the attack on Umpqua Community College, he went beyond his usual calls for more gun control and hinted at gun confiscation as the answer to violence in the U.S. He suggested that America should consider following the path blazed by Australia and Great Britain as they have completely outlawed private ownership of guns outright.
In the mid-1990s Australia and Great Britain both instituted what were virtually complete bans on firearm possession. During his speech, Obama said, “We know that other countries, in response to one mass shooting, have been able to craft laws that almost eliminate mass shootings. Friends of ours, allies of ours — Great Britain, Australia, countries like ours. So we know there are ways to prevent it.”
However, it is lost on Obama and most socialist/communist control freaks who rave about outlawing guns that gun crime has not been abated at all in those countries, because criminals simply do not obey those laws.
When Australian Prime Minister John Howard signed the 1996 gun confiscation act into law, the “reform” was not designed to prevent mass murder. It was enacted to confiscated firearms.
Since the passage of the law there have been a number of mass murders in Australia. Following the 1996 Port Arthur massacre which prompted the government to confiscate firearms from law-abiding citizens, the following incidents occurred:
~12 people where killed by three serial murderers in Snowtown.
~An arsonist murdered 15 backpackers in Childers, Queensland.
~A student went on a shooting spree killing two in Melbourne.
~An arson attack killed 10 in Churchill, Victoria.
~A man beat to death five people of the Lin family in North Epping, New South Wales.
~11 people were burned to death by a nurse in Sydney.
~A man shot to death his wife and three children in Lockhart, South Wales.
~A woman in Cairns, Queensland stabbed to death eight children.
“Following every mass shooting in the United States, politicians and anti-Second Amendment advocates cite the Australian example,” said Kurt Nimmo, from infowars.com. “However, studies show the law did not end violence, although it did reduce suicide by gun.”
The law “robbed Australians of their right to self-defense and empowered criminals, all without delivering the promised reduction in violent crime,” the NRA notes.
“When gun control advocates say they want Australian gun control laws in the United States, what they are really saying is that they want gun confiscation in the United States,” writes the historian Varad Mehta.
While the murders were horrific, not all victims are calling for the abolition of the right to self defense. The family of a teenager who was seriously injured during the shooting on Thursday said that, despite what she went through, they still oppose additional gun control measures and remain “pro-Second Amendment.”
“We’re pro-Second Amendment, pro guns,” Jesse Fitzgerald, brother of attack victim Cheyeanne Fitzgerald, told the Daily Mail. “My sister, my mother, my whole family are all in favor. We were talking about it in the hospital and none of us have changed our minds.”
Not content at allowing people to be able to defend themselves from violence, Presidential candidate and former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is calling for a a “national movement” to “stand up to the NRA and the gun lobby. Clinton acknowledged passing laws designed to chip away at the constitutional right of Americans to own firearms will be “a political mountain to climb,” but said if elected she will “never relent.”
The goal of Obama, Clinton and all other Communist sympathizers has always been to disarm the American people in order to more easily turn the population into a slave-class society forever indebted and enslaved to the banks and corporations who now own and control the U.S. government. Removing guns from the hands of law-abiding Americans is the only way to ensure total, dictatorial control over this slave grid that is now being built and perfected by Communist infiltrators within both the Republican and Democrat parties.
