WAYNE H. BUBAR
Fort Fairfield – Wayne H. Bubar, 78, husband of Jackie (Madore) Bubar, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening December 31, 2018 at a Caribou healthcare facility. He was born November 1, 1940 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Donald Sr. and Evelyn (White) Bubar. He was a lifelong potato farmer in Fort Fairfield and was married to Jackie Madore on November 24, 1962. Wayne was a communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, and a member of the Fort Fairfield Snowmobile Club, and the Fort Fairfield Lions Club. Wayne enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, playing “Forty-Five”, but most of all he loved potato farming. In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by one brother, Robert Bubar; two sisters, Norma Van Buskirk and Sarah Farrell; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Donald (Marietta) Bubar and Mrs. Roger (Helen) Bubar; one brother-in-law, Russell Bishop. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Jackie Bubar of Fort Fairfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Rodney McLaughlin of Levant; one son, Steve Bubar and his companion Lorna Lavway of Fort Fairfield; three brothers, Roger Bubar of Fort Fairfield, Donald Bubar Jr. of Bristol, CT, Gerald Bubar and his wife Laverne of Fort Fairfield; three sisters, Shirley Bishop of Atlanta, GA, Susan Duran and her husband Jim of Portland, Linda Hickox and her husband Terrell of Fort Fairfield; three grandchildren, Marty McLaughlin of Levant, Lauren McLaughlin of Portland, Hattie Bubar of Presque Isle. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Connie Bubar of Fort Fairfield; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends called Thursday January 3, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held after the service at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Council Number 1753, 260 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Spring interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
