BULA JEAN GILL

Bula Jean Gill, age 93, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016. She was born August 31, 1922 in Marion, Ohio to the late Theodore and Cleo (Tobin) Stroble. She was formerly employed with White Cross Hospital, YWCA, School Lunch Fort Fairfield, ME, and retired from Food Service at Doctors West Hospital. She enjoyed playing euchre, bowling, water aerobics at the Urbancrest YMCA, sewing, knitting, and cooking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Norine Weber; and brothers, Mickey, Jackie, Lee, and John. Bula is survived by her husband of 74 years, Merrill “Bud” Gill; brother, Laney; brother-in-law, James Gill; children, Bev Corbett of Grove City, Bill Gill of Kelso, WA, Bobbie White of Hermon, ME, Barry Gill of Conner, MT; grandchildren, Lisa Wade, Greg Corbett, Ken Gill, Barney Gill, Nick Gill, Lauren Pennington, and Alex Gill; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; several nieces, nephews, and special niece, Angie Stroble; and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation was held 12pm-1:00pm Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. A graveside service will follow at 1:45pm at Pleasant Cemetery, 14220 Era Rd., Mt. Sterling, OH 43143. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
