JUANITA L. (CHAMBERS) HODSHON
Fort Fairfield & Presque Isle – Juanita L. (Chambers) Hodshon, 80, passed away Thursday evening, March 31, 2016 at a Bangor healthcare facility, following a massive stroke. She was born May 13, 1935 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Philander and Lorna Doone (Barrett) Chambers. She was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1953 and was a lifelong member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Fort Fairfield. Juanita worked as a bartender and waitress at the Plymouth Hotel, Fort Fairfield, Keddy’s Restaurant in Presque Isle, Yuseff’s Restaurant in Caribou, the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle, Paul’s Restaurant in Bangor and the Riverside Inn in Presque Isle. In addition to her parents, Juanita was predeceased by one brother, Frank E. Chambers Sr.; one sister, Geneva “Jean” (Chambers) Tibbetts. She is survived by one son, Jack R. Hodshon and his companion Sheila A. Bumps of Presque Isle; one daughter, Laura Beth Hodshon of Caribou; two grandchildren, Amber (Hodshon) Shroeder and Chad M. Hodshon, both of Florida; three great grandchildren, Hailey Hodshon, Angela Hodshon, and Chaz Shroeder, all of Florida; nieces and nephews, Brent Tibbetts and his wife Alma of Presque Isle, Cindy Chapman and her husband Doug of Ashland, Sherry Levesque of Fort Fairfield, Mike Tibbetts and his wife Debbie of Easton; Roberta Reed of Fort Fairfield; Frank E. Chambers Jr. of Texas; several great nephews and great nieces, She also leaves behind many friends. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday May 12, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield with Rev. Kevin Kinsey officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the service at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post Number 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Hodshon to the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, c/o Gloria Towle, P.O. Box 737, Fort Fairfield, Maine 04742.
