KENNETH L. REYNOLDS JR.
Fort Fairfield – Kenneth L. Reynolds, Jr., 65, passed away Friday evening October 7, 2016 at a Mars Hill healthcare facility, following an extended illness. He was born January 20, 1951 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Kenneth L. Sr. and Jean Dexter Reynolds. He was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1969, where he excelled in basketball as well as other sports. Ken also was a graduate of Bates College where he received a degree in criminology. Ken began his working career with his father and grandfather at Reynolds Machine Shop in Fort Fairfield, fabricating potato handling equipment. As a resident of Dallas, Texas for much of his adult life, Ken worked for Paramount Van Lines and later for Paramount Show Tours. Ken enjoyed hunting, golfing and country western music especially Johnny Cash. “ It is difficult to mourn a man who’s life, despite recent difficulties was so filled with fun and joy. We loved having you in our lives Ken”. In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by one brother, David J. Reynolds. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Jay and Karen Reynolds of Fort Fairfield; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Peter Soucy of Rockland, Debra and David Scott, Ellen Breeze, all of Salt Lake City, UT, Patricia and Kevin Regan of Lisbon Falls; a sister-in-law, Mrs. David (Lori) Reynolds of Centerville, UT; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many longtime friends in Texas; as well as the doctors and staff at the Aroostook Health Center, Mars Hill, who provided such wonderful care to Ken during his stay. Friends may call Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Alex Maria Doss officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Ken to the Resident Activities Fund, c/o the Aroostook Health Center, 15 Highland Avenue, Mars Hill, Maine 04758.
